BP’s move into Agora Budapest confirmed

BP will move its 1,800 strong Global Business Services office based in the Hungarian capital to Agora Budapest by HB Reavis. On the local market, the deal so far tops the chart of new leasing transactions in 2019.

The company’s Budapest branch plans to move into its new 22,000 sq m workspace, approximately 3 times the size of a football field, in the Agora Budapest project in the summer of 2020.
Along with one of the largest global energy businesses in the world, the roughly 130,000 sq m Agora Budapest will also accommodate HB Reavis’ new service lines, including a HubHub coworking space for small companies and freelancers and Qubes, a format that offers flexible space leases with the possibility of changing them over time.
However, it’s not just about occupancy. It’s all about the HB Reavis belief that every company has the right to be a part of a thriving business community that helps them nurture their growth.

Why Agora Budapest?

Looking at both BP‘s pro-employee orientation and HB Reavis‘ people-centric approach when designing workspaces, these two are a natural fit.

When designing offices, HB Reavis bears in mind the well-being of the people that will be using the workspace and emphasises the importance of the communities within.

Incorporating these notions in development transforms modern constructions into more than just buildings, into spaces where health and productivity come first, into places where community building plays a major role, and last but not least, into meeting points where local life can thrive too.
On the other side, BP was in search of a flexible workplace that combines business and lifestyle with communal functionality to create a supportive environment on multiple levels.

In Agora Budapest, BP’s people will be able to use the most up-to-date workspace solutions to enhance their working experience and active design to help maintain good health. All of the features in the project were planned and executed in accordance with BREEAM and WELL sustainability principles.

On top of that, when it comes to location, there is no need to compromise. Agora Budapest’s very central location right at an underground stop allows for easy accessibility. Having a gym, supermarket, cafés and restaurants together with numerous events such as fairs and music nights will not only attract working people, but also the residential community within the district.
